Absolutely dreadful experience! The room layout was baffling, with a sink in the bedroom-who thought that was clever? Plus, the air conditioning didn't work! I oddly expected a complimentary upgrade for my troubles. If you want real luxury, definitely skip this place! I almost considered a better review but just couldn't, silly me!

Clean and bright hotel unit with twin beds. Marvellous location, a few steps away from a Neo-Renaissance theatre. Quick check-in, late check-out.
Absolutely unfriendly staff!

We stayed for 2 nights and liked the room, which was new-fashioned and airy for chair or desk. Central heating, a private safe, and multi-channel television worked well.

Why it might work for you, or not
Fine views! I loved the complimentary coffee and garden patio.
Confusing entry procedures! The stairs were steeper than expected-definitely a workout with luggage.

Fairly nice area, marvellous location, just off the Amstel and entertainment, Amstel river, and metro and trams and buses. Also, easy access to a narrow bridge. Very comfy beds, cell and a phone in the room. Clean bathroom and walk-in showers with good sewerage.

Had a blast with friends! The lounge area and garden were perfect. We loved the local restaurants nearby and how easy it was to get around. Expect a clean and modern space-a great value for the price. Staff were helpful, offering great local tips.
One downside was the steep stairs to our room. Be careful with your luggage. It was a bit tricky at first, but it worked out in the end.

It was noisy!

Located fairly close to Rembrandt Square and roughly a mile from Dam square, made this a fairly cheap stay. Was a steady walk away from the thick of it!

Cozy vibe and great location
The room was super cute and comfy, with a fun little coffee maker. We had a nice view from our top-level spot. It's just a short walk to tram lines , made exploring easy! Just a heads up, the stairs can be a bit steep if you've got heavy bags.

The possibility to move to MAX hotel - it is better (with extra payment about 30 Euro per day)
No bathroom inside the room. Cold numbers. Separate building from the reception and kitchen

Not a great deal with Hotel Iris...
The shower was badly designed so it wet the toilet floor. The fact the toilet and shower was outside the room was not very good, and the other room sharing the facilities did not respect it. The walls were very thin and the next door room was very audible.
